MOUSE
A mouse is an input device that is used to tell the computer
what to do by clicking a button. You can use it to draw pictures
and click on things on the computer screen. It has two buttons
(a left button and a right button) and a scroll wheel in the
middle.
MICROPHONE
A microphone is an input device that is used to record sound,
voice and music. These recordings can be stored on the computer
to listen them later.
SCANNER
A scanner is an input device that copies pictures or words from
paper to the computer. You place the paper in the scanner and
it creates an identical copy on the screen. It’s like taking a photo
and saving it on the computer.
JOYSTICK
A joystick is an input device that you hold in your hand to play
games. It has a stick you move around to control the game, like
making a character walk, jump or fly.
PROCESSING DEVICE
A processing device is a part of the computer that helps make decisions and
perform work.
CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT (CPU)
A CPU is the brain of the computer. It takes
the input you give, follows the instructions and
shows the output on output devices. It also
controls all the work of the computer. The CPU
is located inside the CPU box or cabinet.
